Space beyond imagining, a fathomless void
The illusion of size to scale, of some significance
Reality an illusion, wrought by a germ on a tiny rock
How tiny a star, how so much smaller it’s planets
The distance between them, is so impossibly vast
Empires crumble and fall, in barely an eye blink
And all the while falling, dancing around a ball of fire

Indefinite sorrow knowing only what’s told to deceive
Another bleak tomorrow staring out at the gray

And though my life may be destroyed I will know vengeance
Inflicted back upon a world I loath

I can hear the clawing demons they tell me don’t exist
Whispering from shadowed places in language I don’t know

A cold and howling wind runs down
