They came to the temple between the living and the dead
To bring their offerings and ask their questions

And some would be received and questions would answer
Some were driven mad, screaming and insane
But for those on the living side, whose eyes could not see
The fell things creeping on the other side of the door

And they waited for the right vessel
They watched from the darkness, locked in anticipation
A fool came to offer, late at night

Out stream the monsters Tartarus had been keeping

The barrier between the worlds shattered for an instant
