lyrics

The unescapable enemy so long evaded
Twilight draws near, the long consuming night
Long corridors tracing deep into the earth
And what awaits there, terror grips my mind
The cold stones under my feet chill me to the bone
I can hear the whispers of aberrations unseen
Here there are no weapons for me as I press on
Pushing forward as if compelled

I reach the antechamber down in the depths
And sitting high on a throne the dark one is waiting
His voice like ice turned sound, his words cut deep
He says I already know what I have come here to learn

You arrive here under false pretenses and weakness
Your efforts in vain, you’ve already spent your time
The last few years for you was only a few seconds
You near the final end and you didn’t even know

And his words ran true within my ears
The false façade dissolving as I succumb to death
