lyrics

Native blood ran red here centuries ago
And though the people gone, other things remain
Black magic born from the earth
And if you see them you’re taken

You can’t run, you can’t hide
They can always find you
Animal or man or something in between
They remain in the lands they’ve always been in
Powerful and primeval, with their terrible eyes

Shapeshifting killers lurking out there in the dark
Waiting and biding their time, taking those they will
Ancient legends warned of the skinwalkers
And they’ve just been waiting, patiently waiting

They have no natural predators except for man
The bloody mourning and faint screaming
Wicked soulless killers bound for fresh blood
Remorseless ghouls prowling the night

You will never hear their name
They don’t exist
American culture swallowed up their legend
The scourge of the old land, still hunting
Slaughtering who they will

Shapeshifting killers lurking out there in the dark
Waiting and biding their time, taking those they will
Ancient legends warned of the skinwalkers
And they’ve just been waiting, patiently waiting
