lyrics

The house is empty but the walls are still alive
At night the residents still come out to play

The nightmares resonate with past mistakes
Drawing to the surface demons long sleeping
Beyond the reach of angels or gods
Locked tight inside their home forever

Twisted images mixing with the blackness of loss
Old wrath returning to fight the repeating war
And in the aftermath the wreckage burns and smokes
Fall before the sword of your own doing

You cannot break the chains that do not exist
Only within the fortress of madness lie the ghosts
And falls the rain, putting out the fires
And they may lay dormant for years
And in the gloom and dark of the stillness
Echoing from the depths, the howls of the unholy

And when she appears again, the torment begins anew
I am the monster she provokes again and again
And through the laughter of the accompanying abominations
My screams will never pierce the veil of day

Twisted images mixing with the blackness of loss
Old wrath returning to fight the repeating war
And in the aftermath the wreckage burns and smokes
Fall before the sword of your own doing
